This is a most sinister read. Isaac Thorne has produced a haunting tale that will sit with you long after you've turned the last page. I can honestly say that the title is very clever.
A woman appears beside Jake's bed at the exact same time every night. She continuously stares and smiles at him. The woman smells rancid. Jake's parents aren't getting along and his dad is stressed over his job at the hospital. He tries to figure out what the woman wants. Jake tells his parents about the woman. That is when the story takes a turn for the better. Issac Thorne wraps up the story nicely, too.
Bedside Manner is a sin of the father type story. The characters have depth. The story is very good. Read this one with the light on.
