Don't Hang Up by Alexis Wajsbrot, Damien Macé

Don't Hang Up is about Sam (Gregg Sulkin) and Brady (Garrett Clayton), two friends who prank call people and film it to see how many hits/likes they can get on their videos. Sam and Brady hang out one night and watch movies before they graduate from high school. That is when the phone rings. The unknown caller tells them to stay on the phone and not to hang up or there will be consequences. So, they do what any teenager would do, they hang up on the caller. Then, the movie gets pretty good. The events that unfold throughout the movie are gory, yet predictable. I saw the ending coming because it has been played out before. All of the typical horror cliches are in this film.

I really enjoyed seeing the cell-phone and the cordless phone make it into a horror movie. What I didn't understand was how technologically advanced the caller was. The movie only scratches the surface of the callers' background and their motivation.

If you can look past the typical horror cliches and the predictability of the movie, then you will enjoy this film. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun watch, but you will probably scream at the TV during this film.

3/5 stars!
